Hi, we are Nick and Amber Balbach. Thank you so much for visiting the Life Church website and checking out our “Life Story”. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves. Amber is an outpatient Registered Dietician at the VA hospital, while Nick is an Instructional Coach and coaches Cross Country and Track at Ben Davis High School. We have been married for 2 ½ years now and are expecting an addition to our family in May 2008.
We are not originally from this area. We moved to Indianapolis shortly after getting married and always thought we were too busy to look for a church. Around March of 2006, we were invited by one of Nick’s coworkers to attend the first-ever service at Life Church. We were intrigued and after attending, decided to continue. It just felt right. It was a great fit because of the church’s desire to be outwardly focused. Along with that, everyone was so down to earth, unassuming, and genuinely interested in our spiritual growth. At first we were comfortable with just attending.
As we began to grow, we realized that God was calling us to do more. Doors opened up and we began to serve as greeters at church. Now we are Life Group leaders and Nick serves as Back of House Director. It is through our Life Group that we have developed a deeper understanding of our purpose for life here on Earth and what can happen with a great group of people around you.
